For anyone wondering what's happening with DIY EDTracker, it is now in a very stable state so the lack of news is not a bad thing... the solution really has evolved to be quite stable now. With over 60,000 downloads of the DIY software it's reasonable to assume we're well into the tens of thousands of users out there, across the globe, who've built their own and are enjoying fast, reliable and cheap head tracking.

We are currently busy with finishing off the Pro Wireless software and after that we hope to turn our attention to the DIY GUI, and give it a tidy-up and add some minor features where we can. The DIY firmware is at the limits of what can be squeezed into the available memory, but there's very little else to add in terms of features... we're keen to keep DIY cheap and accessible, so there's little desire to move to higher specification micro-controllers that would just add cost for no real benefit.

If you've got any thoughts or suggestions for what you'd like to see in terms of features, by all means lets us know. If it's something we can squeeze in, we'll certainly try!
